A Garden Venue That Changes Every Month
The Arboretum is really a dozen venues on one property, and which one your wedding gets depends on the calendar: crabapple and cherry blossom in May, peonies and iris in June, roses from late June into September, the maple collection in October. The Arboretum is a University of Minnesota property with its own event and photography policies — where and when portraits can happen, and how guests enter. Those come from your event contract and I follow them exactly; I confirm the specifics with your coordinator before the day.
Golden hour on the prairie and along Three-Mile Drive is the best light on the property, and it's a short drive from the ceremony sites. I plan fifteen minutes there before the reception whenever the schedule allows.
