Why I Film the Behind-the-Scenes

Photos show you what I make. The reels show you what it is like to be photographed by me — the pace of a wedding morning, how I direct a couple who has never been in front of a camera, what a boudoir session actually feels like in the room. If you are deciding between photographers, that second part matters as much as the portfolio.

The clips are pulled from real client sessions across Minneapolis, St. Paul and the wider Twin Cities metro. When something in a reel catches your eye — a venue, a location, a kind of light — mention it in your inquiry and I will send the full gallery it came from. You can also browse finished work in the portfolio or start with the wedding collections.

One honest caveat: a fifteen-second clip is edited for a feed, and a wedding gallery is edited for a wall. The reels are true to how sessions feel, but judge the actual work by the full galleries — that is what you will hold in ten years. If you want both sides of it, watch a reel from a wedding, then ask me for that couple's complete gallery in your inquiry. Comparing the two is the fastest way to know whether my eye matches yours.

Wedding Reels & Highlight Films in Minneapolis

Most of the wedding clips on this page began as content creation on a real Twin Cities wedding day. I'm Emma Ziegler, and across 200+ weddings I have watched how couples actually use what I hand them: the gallery goes on the wall and into the album, and the vertical clips go out while everyone is still talking about the day. Both are worth having, which is why content creation is included in the Pearl ($4,200), Ruby ($4,800) and Sapphire ($5,300) collections rather than sold as an upsell.

A reel and a highlight film are not the same product. Reels are short, vertical and shot in the moment — a first look, a veil catching wind, the walk back down the aisle — cut for a phone screen. A highlight film is longer, edited to music, and built to be watched sitting down. The Sapphire collection, twelve hours with two photographers, is the one that includes a highlight film.

What Is Wedding Content Creation?

Wedding content creation is candid vertical video captured alongside your professional photography — the same day, the same moments, a different format. It is not a substitute for a videographer with a crew and audio gear. It is the layer in between, so you have something to share long before the full edited gallery arrives six to eight weeks later.

Because I am already photographing your day in an editorial-documentary style, the content comes from where I am already standing: no separate content creator following you through getting-ready, no second timeline to manage, and no one asking you to repeat a moment for a camera. If you are comparing collections, that is the practical line between Emerald and the three above it — Emerald covers four hours of photography, while Pearl, Ruby and Sapphire add content creation to the day.
