How much does a maternity photography session cost in Minneapolis?
Maternity sessions start at $450 and include a 1-hour shoot, access to my studio gown collection, all professionally edited photos, and a private online gallery with high-resolution downloads.
When should I schedule my maternity session?
The sweet spot is between 28–34 weeks. You'll have a beautiful bump that photographs well, and you'll still be comfortable enough to enjoy the session. I recommend booking as early as possible to secure your preferred date.
What should I wear for maternity photos?
Form-fitting dresses, flowing gowns, or even a simple bodysuit with a sheer overlay all look stunning. I provide a detailed style guide and can lend maternity gowns from my studio wardrobe. The key is wearing something that makes you feel beautiful!
Do you provide maternity gowns?
Yes! I have a curated client closet of flowing maternity gowns in a variety of sizes and colors. They're included at no extra cost and you'll get to choose your favorites at the start of the session.
Can my partner and/or kids be included?
Absolutely! I love capturing partners and loved ones during maternity sessions. We'll do a mix of solo mama shots and partner moments so you get the best of both worlds.
Where do maternity sessions take place?
I offer both outdoor and in-home maternity sessions. Popular outdoor locations include Lake Harriet, Minnehaha Falls, and various Twin Cities parks. In-home sessions are also beautiful — especially for a more intimate, lifestyle feel.
How long is a maternity session?
Sessions typically last 45–60 minutes, which is plenty of time for multiple outfit changes, different poses, and a variety of backdrops.
When will I get my maternity photos back?
Your fully edited gallery is delivered within 2–3 weeks of your session, with a few sneak peek images sent in the first week.
Do you offer maternity + newborn bundles?
Yes! Many of my clients book a maternity session alongside a newborn session — it's a beautiful way to document the entire chapter. Reach out for bundle pricing.
