Minnesota wedding photographer Emma Ziegler — golden-hour wedding photography across the state

Minnesota Wedding Photographer

Warm, true-to-life wedding photography across the Twin Cities, Duluth, Brainerd Lakes, and every corner of Minnesota. Booking 2026.

Quick Answer

Who is the best Minnesota wedding photographer for 2026?

I'm Emma Ziegler — a Minneapolis-based wedding photographer serving the entire state of Minnesota. I shoot warm, film-inspired, documentary-style weddings from intimate North Shore elopements to 300-guest celebrations in the Twin Cities. Collections start at $3,950 for 8 hours of coverage with the engagement session, all edited photos, and a private gallery included. Statewide travel within Minnesota up to 90 miles is included; further is transparent and flat-fee.

Statewide Wedding Photography, Rooted in Minnesota

I've photographed weddings in 60+ Minnesota cities — Stillwater barns, North Shore cliffs, Brainerd lake resorts, Rochester gardens, downtown Minneapolis lofts, and quiet backyards in greater Minnesota. Whatever corner of the state your story lives in, I'll meet you there.

Every wedding gets the same care: an in-person or video call to plan your timeline, an included engagement session, true-to-life film-inspired editing, and a turnaround that respects your honeymoon. Minnesota wedding photographers are a crowded field — I'd love to show you why couples who care about real, warm, story-driven images keep choosing me.

Minnesota Wedding Photography FAQ

How much does a Minnesota wedding photographer cost?

Most experienced Minnesota wedding photographers charge between $3,200 and $7,500 for full-day coverage. My collections start at $3,950 for 8 hours, all edited images, an engagement session, and a private online gallery. Statewide travel within Minnesota is included up to 90 miles from Minneapolis.

Do you travel throughout Minnesota?

Yes. I shoot weddings across the entire state — Twin Cities metro, Duluth and the North Shore, Brainerd Lakes, Alexandria, Rochester, Mankato, and resort weddings on Gull Lake, Cross Lake, and Lake Vermilion. Travel within 90 miles of Minneapolis is included; further destinations get a small flat travel fee that's transparent at booking.

Are you available for elopements and small weddings in Minnesota?

Absolutely. Roughly a third of my 2026 calendar is intimate weddings and elopements — courthouse ceremonies in Minneapolis or Hennepin County, backyard weddings in greater Minnesota, North Shore elopements at Tettegouche or Split Rock, and weeknight microweddings. Mini collections start at $1,800 for 3 hours.

When should I book my Minnesota wedding photographer?

Most couples book 10–14 months ahead, especially for September and October Saturdays (the most-requested wedding weekends in Minnesota — fall color plus mild weather). For 2026 dates I still have select Friday, Sunday, and off-season weekends open as of this month.

What's the best season for a Minnesota wedding?

Late September through mid-October for fall color, late June through August for full-leaf greenery and long golden-hour light, and December–February for genuinely magical snow weddings. Spring (April–May) is the highest-value season — venue and vendor discounts are common, weather is unpredictable but workable, and crowds at outdoor venues are minimal.

Do you photograph weddings in Wisconsin and other states?

Yes. I regularly photograph weddings in Hudson, River Falls, and the broader St. Croix Valley in Wisconsin, plus destination weddings throughout the U.S. and abroad. Same all-inclusive editing style, same delivery timeline, transparent travel pricing.

What style of wedding photography do you shoot?

Warm, true-to-life, film-inspired. I shoot a documentary-meets-editorial style — real moments, soft skin tones, deep blacks, no over-processed orange-and-teal looks. If your Pinterest board is full of Magnolia Mag and editorial film photographers, we're aligned.

How quickly will I get my wedding photos back?

Full wedding gallery in 6–8 weeks, with 50+ sneak peeks delivered within the first week. Engagement sessions deliver in 2–3 weeks. Every gallery includes full print rights and high-resolution downloads.

Do you photograph LGBTQ+ weddings in Minnesota?

Yes, and gladly. Every couple is welcomed, no exceptions. I've photographed LGBTQ+ weddings across Minneapolis, St. Paul, Duluth, and rural Minnesota — your love story will be photographed with the same care and beauty as any other.

Do you offer wedding photography packages with prints and albums?

Yes. Every collection includes the digital gallery; albums, fine-art prints, and heirloom wall art are available à la carte starting at $480 for a 10×10 layflat album. I help you design them after the wedding — most couples pick out their album in a 30-minute Zoom call with me.
