Those first few days are so fleeting — the tiny toes, the sleepy stretches, the way they curl into you. My newborn sessions are designed to preserve every delicate detail in a calm, warm, and patient environment.
Whether you prefer a lifestyle session at home or a classic studio look with wraps and props, I'll guide you through every moment. Baby safety is always my top priority, and there's never any rush — we work on baby's schedule.

How much does a newborn photography session cost in Minneapolis?
Newborn sessions start at $400 and include a 2–3 hour in-home or studio session, all professionally edited photos, parent and sibling shots, and a private online gallery with high-resolution downloads.
When should I book my newborn session?
I recommend booking during your second trimester to secure your spot. Newborn sessions are ideally done within the first 14 days of life, when babies are sleepiest and most curly. I keep flexible scheduling to accommodate early or late arrivals!
How long does a newborn session take?
Plan for about 2–3 hours. Newborns set the pace — we'll take breaks for feeding, diaper changes, and soothing as needed. There's never any rush.
Where do newborn sessions take place?
I offer both in-home lifestyle sessions and studio sessions. In-home sessions are perfect for capturing baby in your own space. Studio sessions offer a clean, classic look with wraps, props, and backdrops.
Is it safe? How do you handle the baby?
Baby safety is my absolute top priority. I'm trained in newborn posing safety and never force any positions. A parent or assistant is always within arm's reach. I maintain a warm, clean environment and sanitize all props between sessions.
What if my baby is older than 14 days when we shoot?
No problem! Babies up to about 4 weeks still photograph beautifully — though we may use more awake-baby poses and lifestyle setups instead of the deeply curled poses. Every stage is special.
Can siblings and parents be included?
Yes! I always include parent and sibling shots as part of every newborn session. These are some of the most treasured images — those first moments together.
What should we wear for the family photos?
Soft neutrals, creams, oatmeal, and muted tones photograph beautifully and let baby be the star. I send a detailed style guide after booking and have a small parent wardrobe available for in-studio sessions.
When will I get my newborn gallery back?
Your fully edited gallery is delivered within 3–4 weeks of the session, with a few sneak peeks within the first week so you can share the news!
