Serving St. Anthony and the surrounding north metro

St. Anthony sits in the north metro — roughly 12 minutes from downtown Minneapolis and inside the Minneapolis–St. Paul metro. I photograph weddings across St. Anthony weekly and know the venues, the light, and the timing quirks unique to this corner of the Twin Cities.

St. Anthony Village sits directly between Northeast Minneapolis and Roseville, which means couples get a quiet neighborhood ceremony and a five-minute drive to Nordeast brick, murals and brewery portraits.

Couples choosing a St. Anthony wedding photographer usually also compare nearby suburbs — I regularly shoot in Minneapolis, Columbia Heights, Roseville, New Brighton, Northeast Minneapolis, all covered by my metro-wide flat rate with no travel fees. If your ceremony is in St. Anthony but your portraits are downtown Minneapolis or on Summit Avenue in St. Paul, that's a routine day for me, not an add-on.

St. Anthony landmarks I shoot around

Portraits in St. Anthony lean on Silver Lake, Central Park, St. Charles Borromeo, the Apache Plaza redevelopment green. Whether you're aiming for a classic north metro country-club look or something more editorial, I map out the day's schedule so you get the best 15 minutes of light at each stop — no rushing between St. Anthony and downtown Minneapolis or St. Paul.

Photographing Weddings in St. Anthony

St. Anthony Village is a two-square-mile city wedged between Minneapolis and Roseville, and that location is the whole appeal. Ceremonies here are usually at St. Charles Borromeo or a family home, and then we drive five minutes into Northeast Minneapolis for portraits — brick warehouses, murals, the brewery district — or the other direction to the Silver Lake shoreline for something greener.

I photograph a lot of Northeast Minneapolis weddings, so St. Anthony is familiar territory. The thing I plan hardest for here is the light: the Silver Lake beach faces west and goes gold roughly 90 minutes before sunset, while the Nordeast brick walls hold warm reflected light much later. Depending on your ceremony time I'll pick one or the other rather than trying to rush both.
