It's an intimate, high-end setting and it photographs beautifully.
Private-estate days require more planning than venue days, so I do a walk-through in advance whenever possible. Woodland's dense oak canopy means the usable golden-hour window at ground level is short — often 40 minutes rather than 90 — and the best portrait light is right at the water's edge.
