Victoria Wedding Photographer

Victoria sits in the southwest metro — roughly 30 minutes from downtown Minneapolis and inside the Minneapolis–St. Paul metro. I photograph weddings across Victoria weekly and know the venues, the light, and the timing quirks unique to this corner of the Twin Cities.

Victoria is home to Bavaria Downs, one of the most in-demand event estates in the southwest metro, surrounded by Carver Park Reserve's lakes and prairie.

Couples choosing a Victoria wedding photographer usually also compare nearby suburbs — I regularly shoot in Chanhassen, Chaska, Waconia, Carver, Excelsior, all covered by my metro-wide flat rate with no travel fees. If your ceremony is in Victoria but your portraits are downtown Minneapolis or on Summit Avenue in St. Paul, that's a routine day for me, not an add-on.

Victoria's wedding reputation rests largely on Bavaria Downs — a hilltop estate with a chapel, a ballroom and long views across the Carver County countryside — but the city has more than that. Carver Park Reserve wraps the north side with lakes, prairie and the Lowry Nature Center trails, and Lake Minnewashta Regional Park sits just east toward Chanhassen.

Bavaria Downs is built on a rise, which is unusual for this part of the metro and genuinely changes the photography. The elevation means the sun stays visible longer than it does at ground-level venues, so the golden-hour window there runs about fifteen minutes later than my normal southwest-metro planning assumes — I schedule the couple's portraits accordingly. The chapel interior is warm and window-lit, and I shoot it without flash.
