Quick Answer
What is maternity boudoir in Minneapolis?
Maternity boudoir is one of the most powerful sessions I photograph in Minneapolis. The window between weeks 30 and 36 of pregnancy is the sweet spot — your bump is fully shaped, you're still mobile and comfortable, and the natural glow of late pregnancy is impossible to fake.

About Maternity Boudoir
Maternity boudoir is one of the most powerful sessions I photograph in Minneapolis. The window between weeks 30 and 36 of pregnancy is the sweet spot — your bump is fully shaped, you're still mobile and comfortable, and the natural glow of late pregnancy is impossible to fake.
Who it's for
Pregnant clients who want to remember their body exactly as it is, not the polished cliché-version. First pregnancies, surrogates, IVF journeys, second-trimester loss memorials — every story is welcomed and held with care.
Wardrobe
Most popular looks: a soft silk slip, white or nude lace lingerie, a partner's oversized button-down draped open, or simply a long flowing sheet. I keep a maternity-friendly client closet stocked in sizes XS–4X.
What to expect
A relaxed 60-minute session paced for pregnancy — plenty of seated and reclined posing, breaks whenever you need them, and zero pressure to do anything that feels uncomfortable. Snacks and water are stocked.
Maternity Boudoir Pricing — $450
Sessions are $450 — 1 hour in a private Minneapolis studio, every edited photo in both B&W and color, full posing guidance, and a private password-protected gallery within 3–4 weeks. Optional hair & makeup is a $150 add-on. Partner and bump-and-baby add-ons available — ask when you book.
Book Your Maternity Boudoir SessionWhy a maternity boudoir session, not just a maternity portrait
Standard maternity portraits cover the outside story — the gown, the field, the partner's hands on the bump. Maternity boudoir tells the inside one: the body that grew the baby, just as it is, in soft window light. Both have their place; this one is for you.
Sizes, accessibility, and comfort
The studio is ground-floor with no stairs, private parking, a heated changing area, and a daybed for any pose that benefits from reclining. The client closet covers sizes XS–4X.
Maternity Boudoir FAQ
When should I book my maternity boudoir session?
Between weeks 30 and 36 of pregnancy is ideal — you're visibly pregnant, glowing, and still mobile. I recommend booking the studio date as soon as you're in the second trimester since these dates fill 6–8 weeks ahead.
Can my partner be in the maternity boudoir photos?
Yes — partner and bump portraits are a popular add-on. We typically dedicate the last 15–20 minutes of the session to partner shots if you'd like both styles in one visit.
What if I don't feel sexy while pregnant?
Most clients tell me that beforehand — and most leave the gallery saying it's the most beautiful they've ever seen themselves. The full posing guidance, soft natural light, and zero-rush pacing are designed exactly for this.
Where do sessions take place?
All sessions are photographed in a private, comfortable studio space in the Minneapolis / Twin Cities area. The exact address is shared after booking to protect your privacy.
I've never done this — will you tell me how to pose?
Yes — every pose, every angle, every hand placement is guided. You don't need experience. My only job is to make you feel completely at ease and look incredible.
Are my photos kept private?
Always. Your gallery is password-protected and never shared publicly without a written model release that you sign on your own terms.
