Traveling from Minneapolis

Texas Wedding & Elopement Photographer

United States

I travel to Texas several times a year for weddings, elopements, and family portrait sessions — from Austin's Hill Country wineries to Dallas estate venues to Marfa's desert light to coastal Galveston elopements. Texas couples often want a photographer who'll fly in, scout in person, and bring an outside eye to a wedding market that can feel a little uniform. My approach blends documentary candids with editorial portraits, and the warm Texas light pairs beautifully with the timeless, film-inspired tones I'm known for. Whether you're planning a Stonehouse Villa wedding in Driftwood, an Aspen-style ranch event in Dripping Springs, or a Marfa desert elopement, I'd love to be there.

Texas Photography FAQ

Do you travel to Texas for weddings and elopements?

Yes — I travel to Texas regularly for weddings, elopements, and portrait sessions. I'm based in Minneapolis but more than half of my year is spent on the road. Travel fees are flat and transparent, with no markup on flights or lodging.

How much extra does it cost to bring you to Texas?

Travel is quoted as a flat add-on covering flights, ground transport, and 1–2 nights of lodging depending on your timeline. For most Texas weddings it's a few hundred to ~$1,500 on top of your collection — and I never mark up travel costs.

Do you scout Texas locations before the shoot?

Always. I arrive a day early, scout your ceremony and portrait spots in person, watch how light moves at your venue, and build a shot list around your actual location. You're never paying me to figure things out on the day-of.

Can you legally photograph weddings in Texas?

Yes. I carry $2M of liability insurance valid nationwide in the US, and for international weddings I file the appropriate travel documentation and equipment carnets where required. Your venue gets a Certificate of Insurance at no charge.
